Summary:  Soy Capital Bank and Trust Company is looking for the right person to join our dedicated, award-winning team of professionals as a full-time Teller for our Decatur operations.

General Accountability:  Reporting to the Retail Manager, this position is accountable for providing prompt, efficient Teller services for customers.

Specific Responsibilities:

·         Accepts deposits for commercial and regular checking and savings accounts according to standard procedures

·         Cashes various types of checks and/or savings withdrawals according to standard procedures

·         Counts, sorts and packages currency and coins

·         Makes change and fills cash orders when requested

·         Accepts Christmas Club account activities, bank-by-mail, etc.

·         Accepts orders for Series EE bonds and redeems Series E and EE bonds

·         Accepts loan payments and safe depository box payments

·         Accepts Macon County real estate and mobile home property taxes

·         Accepts MASTERCHARGE/VISA/DISCOVER cards for cash advances

·         Handles minor problems/complaints, answers requests for information, and directs inquiries to the proper associates

·         Balances daily transactions according to standard procedures

·         Cross-sells the Bank’s products and services

·         Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

·         Minimum high school diploma

·         Minimum 6 months previous cash handling experience in customer service or retail capacity

·          Strong math, calculator, data entry and PC skills

·         Excellent customer service and communication skills

·         Ability to maintain confidentiality

·         Professional appearance and attitude
